Mark Greany
Managing Attorney
People often say to me, “You’re a criminal defense attorney? How can you defend criminals?” My answer is simple. I defend individuals. I defend the Constitution and all of the rights it provides.
I believe criminal defense attorneys are among the most important members of our society. Without them we would all be exposed to potential abuse by government agents – with no limit to their power. If you don’t believe me, pick up a newspaper or check out my blog. I fight for individuals. I fight for justice. I will not allow overbearing government agents to abuse their power or violate your rights.
I was born and raised in New York. I graduated from Cornell University in 1995 with a bachelor of science (B.S.) in Engineering. While working full time with the global engineering firm, Camp Dresser & McKee, I put myself through law school by attending evening classes.
At New York Law School, I was a member of the Law Review (top 5% of my class) and graduated with honors (cum laude). At graduation I received the Vincent Lo Lordo award for excellence in criminal justice. I have been admitted to the state bar in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and California.
I began practicing law in 1995 as a corporate attorney with the highly regarded Wall Street firm, Schulte Roth & Zabel. I then became a trial attorney in the Special Litigation Unit for Mayor Rudolph “Rudy” Giuliani. I have also worked with legendary criminal defense attorney Murray Richman, who is dedicated to representing the accused and defending the Constitution.
I have a passion for civil liberties and come from a long family tradition of providing legal representation to criminal defendants.
